Locksmith Mount Pleasant
If you do not know exactly how many keys to your Mount Pleasant property exist, that is the reason to rekey. It is a short job and it settles the question.
Locksmith Mount Pleasant: Get Immediate Help When You Need It Most
Rekeying is less disruptive than most people expect. We come to your Mount Pleasant address with the tooling and key blanks in the van, so the locks stay on your doors and the work happens on site. There is no need to remove hardware and take it away, and nothing about the door changes visually.
The sequence on a normal job:
- Walk the property and agree which locks are included
- Confirm the price before any work begins
- Remove and repin each cylinder to a new key combination
- Cut and test every key on every door
- Hand over the agreed number of keys and confirm the old ones are dead
We ask for proof that you are entitled to have the work done — identification and something that ties you to the address. Every reputable locksmith does, and it is the same check that protects you.

Local Locksmithing in Mount Pleasant
Part of Perth’s southern suburbs and lying about 8 km south of the Perth CBD, Mount Pleasant is a suburb we are called to often. The landscape here is the river foreshore, with parkland, walk trails and open water close at hand, and the housing stock shapes the work.
Around Mount Pleasant, these are the situations that usually prompt the call:
- Security screen doors fitted at a different time to the main locks
- Sheds, patios and laundry doors that were never part of the main key set
- Locks fitted decades ago that still work and are worth rekeying rather than replacing
- Rentals being rekeyed between one tenancy and the next
- Security screen doors on a different key to the door behind them
- Garage side doors and side gates left on whatever key came with the house
Keying alike is the part most people in Mount Pleasant did not know was available. Rather than a key per door, compatible locks are rekeyed to one combination so a single key opens the lot. Locks generally need a compatible keyway to share a key, but where they do not, changing a cylinder is usually cheaper than changing the lock.
We rekey locks in the neighbouring suburbs as well, including Ardross lock rekeying, Booragoon, Applecross, Brentwood and Alfred Cove. Wherever you are in this part of Perth, call us to arrange a time.
